ART MEETS ICE in Helsinki Zoo on February 2-3rd & 9-10th 2013   The international ice sculpting festival Art Meets Ice 2013 is held In February. It brings 24 top sculptors from 8 countries to Helsinki Zoo. LIFE ON THE BALTIC SEA single competition is on 2-3rd and MY SEA couples competition on 9-10th. When the sun sets, ice art starts to shine under the evening lights. Come to see how over 30000 kilos of ice turns into art!   Open hours Helsinki Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the event weekends. The ticket sales closes at 6 p.m. In the evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. only ice sculpture area, tropical houses and Cat Valley are open. Restaurant Pukki and Safari Café are open on the zoo open hours.   Bus 16 from central railway station The best way to reach Helsinki Zoo during Art Meets Ice is the bus 16 from Helsinki central railway station square, bus platform 8. The end stop of the bus is at Helsinki Zoo ticket sales in Mustikkamaa.
