1. Do not gather feathers or animal hair to take back with you; you will avoid carrying bugs home with you.
2. Do not feed the animals. Unsuitable food will make them ill, and overeating causes bloating.
3. Keep a safe distance. The animals are wild and may even be dangerous. They can butt, bite or scratch or spit at you.
4. Do not disturb the animals. The also have the right to peace and quiet. Knocking on the glass, throwing sticks or shouting may seem very threatening behaviour to the animals. Do not disturb any of the wild animals on the island either.
5. Leave your pets at home. They might get an infection or infect our animals.
6. Skateboards or roller blades do not belong in the Zoo, nor are visitors allowed to bring bikes onto the island.
7. Put your litter in the proper bin. On the busiest days we have to tidy up after 10,000 visitors. There are separate bins for organic waste.
